SUPPORT

We provide support to community members and continually advocate for suicide prevention and mental wellness at the local, state, and national level through key partnerships with the Kansas Suicide Prevention Coalition and the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.

Beacon for Hope Suicide Prevention's core goal is to provide hope to those who have lost a loved one to suicide, who have struggled themselves, and those who are currently struggling. We seek to be a guiding light in our community above all else.

THE FACTS

Suicide is on of the leading causes of death in the United States.

According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, many adults think about suicide or have made an attempt. In 2022, it is estimated that 13.2 million people in the U.S. seriously thought about suicide, including the 3.8 million that made a plan for suicide and the 1.6 million who attempted suicide.
